日本語能力試験
みんなはTOIECまたはTOEFLを知っているでしょう。
でも同じような日本語の試験試験もあると知っていた？
日本語能力試験と日本語留学試験と呼ばれている。
その時には私がすでに7年間日本語を勉強していたから3級が簡単かなと思った。
結局、簡単すぎて私は150分の試験の中で多分100分ぐらいを鉛筆を置いたまま最後までじっと待っていた。1ヶ月ご結果が届いて、90％ぐらいを取った。
そのあと2級の勉強を本気で始めた。でも10年前の3級と2級のある差が泣くほどやばかった。
漢字編は300字から1000字。読解編は100字の文章から2ページまで。
そして、一番怖かったのは単語編。1500語彙から5000。。。(x_x)
（実は5？年前、3級と2級の間にも１つの級が入れられた。）
山ほどの単語と漢字だった。
2016年。今は多分簡単に1級を合格できると思う。10年間ずっと文句した。「これほどの単語？冗談じゃないか？意地悪！」
でも勉強を諦めなかった。毎年少しずつ進んだ。
あまり役に立たない話かな。でも注目したいのは、言語は難しいし、単語などたくさんあるし。。。でも諦めずに頑張ることさえできれば、いずれ目標を達成する。
Everybody knows about TOEIC and TOEFL. But did you know that there are tests for Japanese similar to those?
They are called the "Japanese Language Proficiency Test" and the "Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students".
10 years ago I took the JLPT for the first time. At the time there were four levels and I decided to take level 3. I had already been studying Japanese for 7 years so I thought it would be pretty easy.
It turned out to be even easier than I thought. Out of 150 minutes of test time, I spent about 100 minutes with my pencil down just waiting for the time to be over. A month later I got the results in the mail. 90%.
After that I started studying for the level 2 test seriously. But 10 years ago, the difference between level 3 and level 2 was enough to make you cry. The Kanji section went from 300 characters to 1000 characters. The reading went from one paragraph to 2 pages. And the worst one was vocabulary. It jumped from 1500 words to 5000.
(Actually, about 5 years ago they changed the test and added an extra level to bridge the gap.)
There was a ridiculous amount of Kanji and vocabulary.
2016. I can probably pass the level 1 exam pretty easily. I complained for 10 whole years. "I have to learn that much vocabulary?! Are you serious?! This is just mean!"
But I didn't quit studying. I made a little progress each year.
I guess it's not a very helpful story...
But my point is that even though languages are tough, and there are a ton of things like vocabulary to learn... If you just keep studying, you will reach your goal.
